Accessibility help

This website uses simple vocalisation controls located as buttons at the top of each page on the site.

The following controls are available:

screen reader off button

This toggles the on/off for the 'point to read' text reader. With the facility switched on, simply point to any text element on the page to hear it read to you. You can also read the 'alt' tags behind graphics.

save as mp3 file button

Click this button to automatically save the largest text element on the page as an MP3 file for later listening or transfer to a mobile device. If you want to save specific text, simply drag highlight it and then click the button to create the audio file. The system suggests a name and a location for the file but you can overwrite the name with anything you like and save it wherever you chose.

read story button

Click this button to automatically read the largest text element on the page without selecting it. If you want to read a specific large block of text, simply drag highlight it and then click the button to start the reader. Click the button again to stop the text from being read.

print version button

This is a simple convert to print version facility not involving any audio processing.
